Hosiery
How do I wash the hose?
* We recommend hand washing in mild soap or detergent, rinse, roll in a soft
   towel and lay flat to air dry.  (Woolite is okay to use) - see package insert.

Can I use lotion before I put on the stockings?
* No, it is not recommended, you should keep hosiery away from any petroleum
   based ointments.  They should also be kept out of direct sunlight.

Is there an easier way to put on the stockings?
* Wearing rubber gloves can aid in applying the stockings, as well as a dusting of
   cornstarch on the legs.  Also, the use of a stocking applicator can help with
   applying the hosiery.

Do you have latex free hosiery?
* Our hosiery is manufactured with spandex (a man-made elastic material) and
   therefore can be classified as latex free.
* Exception ... our Linton-weight hose do contain latex

Can men wear the women’s hosiery?
* Sometimes, but they are designed for the female foot, so foot size will need to
   be considered before purchase

Men’s and Women’s supports
How do I wash a corset?
* To wash an LS support – remove the steels, hand wash in mild detergent and
   allow to air dry

Do you make custom garments?
* Yes, a certified fitter can order a custom made garment for you.  They can also
   send in sample garments to be reproduced.  We can also oversize or undersize
   stock garments.  There is an additional charge for custom manufacturing as
   well as increased manufacturing time – allow for  up to 21 working days to
   manufacture a custom garment

Trusses
How do I wash a truss?
* Trusses can be wiped with a damp soft cloth- they should not be submersed in
   water

Rigid Spinal Orthoses/ Collars
How do I wash a rigid spinal orthosis?
* To was a rigid spinal orthosis wipe with a damp soft cloth

How do wash the collars?
* Solid collars can be wiped with a damp soft cloth.  Foam collars cannot be
   washed- exception: the double layered stockinette collar, the outside layer of
   stockinette can be removed and hand washed in mild detergent and air dried.

Extremity Supports
How do I wash a knee, ankle, wrist supports etc.?
* Elastic, canvas, & neoprene supports can be hand washed with mild soap and
   air dried.  Removable spoons, stays, and hinges should be removed prior to
   washing, synthetic and hard plastic supports can be wiped with a damp soft
   cloth..

Universal Sized Garments
One size fits all garments – Does one size really fit all?
* Actually “one size fits most” – these garments generally fit a small-large size
   range, so they will not fit someone is extra small or extra large.
